Media Supervisor

Walker Advertising, Inc., a leader in direct response legal advertising and located in San Pedro, has a great opportunity for a Media Supervisor to focus on the Los Angeles general market. Ideal candidate will build strong relationships with media Account Executives, have great people skills and excellent analytical ability.

In this role you will:

  • Supervise Media Department
  • Negotiate rates and review advertising agreements (rates, placements, parameters, etc.)
  • Help to develop and ensure proper implementation of broadcast media buys/sells and ideas within the agency
  • Purchase network, cable, radio and print advertising
  • Buy on cost per thousand as opposed to ratings
  • Contribute to evaluations/recommendations for on-going broadcast media requests.
  • Monitoring tracking, delivery and campaign performance on an ongoing basis to attain performance results.
  • Compile and analyze performance data and metrics and make decisions regarding campaign direction based on the analysis
  • Continuously identify and evaluate new opportunities for distribution growth; as well as interface with internal marketing and product and technical groups to develop, implement and support marketing strategies and programs.
  • Attend media functions either during the day and/or evening.
  • Able to work in independently with attention to detail and enjoy working as part of and managing a team, while having the ability to work on several projects at once and meet deadlines.
  • Responsible and dependable, able to follow through on all assignments in a timely manner and meet deadlines
  • Strong decision-making, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent negotiations skills along with strong communication skills. Good problem solver with excellent analytical skills.

Qualifications:

  • 4 year degree or equivalent directly related experience
  • Minimum of 2+ years previous broadcast media buying, planning and scheduling
  • 2+ years in a Supervisory role or senior role with Supervisory responsibilities.
  • Solid working knowledge of general broadcast TV, radio and Internet buying a huge plus.
  • Excellent knowledge and usage of media buying software, MS products
  • Computer/Internet Savvy

Graphic Design Director, Mexican Market

Job Location:

San Pedro, CA 90731

Description:

Oversee and contribute to the design and creation of graphics for commercial and promotional materials targeting the Mexican audience in Southern California. Design text and graphics layout for all printed materials including newspaper, outdoor signs, direct mail publications, sales presentation items, website materials using various graphics design tools including Photoshop and Freehand. Develop creative strategies for promotional projects. Generate creative concepts to promote brand recognition. Expand design concepts to be incorporated into television and radio while maintaining uniform brand/corporate identify. Ensure all graphics and media materials relate to a cohesive strategic and creative message.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Communications, Design, or Graphic Design + 5 yrs progressively responsible, post baccalaureate exp. in position offered or as Graphic Designer or Senior Graphic Designer. Graphics design of marketing materials targeting Mexican audience, print media advertising sensitive to Mexican culture, advertising campaign design, Photoshop, and Freehand.
