Highchairs Recalled After Reports of Injuries

Roughly 35,000 Safety 1st highchairs made by Montreal-based Dorel Industries are being recalled after reports that children could remove the trays and fall off the chairs. Falls from the highchairs have allegedly resulted in bruises, cuts and chipped teeth. Safety 1st said it had received 68 reports of children removing the trays, and 11 reports of injuries caused by falls.

While it is never good when a defective product injures consumers—particularly when those consumers are young children—I’m pleased the company is taking action to correct the problem. Sadly, sometimes it seems like companies that take responsibility for their missteps and work to protect consumers are in the minority.

That’s why plaintiff attorneys and companies like Walker Advertising are so important. We connect injured consumers to skilled attorneys who can help defend their rights. If you are an attorney who would like to join our network, please email moreinfo@walkeradvertising.com or call 1-800-4WALKER.
