Lawsuit Alleges CVS Targeted Black and Hispanic Shoppers
A class action lawsuit by four former employees alleges that two supervisors in CVS’s loss-prevention department ordered loss protection officers to target blacks and Hispanics in an effort to prevent theft. The former employees, all of whom are either Hispanic or African-American, claim that this racial profiling of nonwhite shoppers was standard practice. They also allege they were subjected to discriminatory treatment, with supervisors making derogatory statements about their race.
