Walker Advertising LLC. a leading and growing Hispanic legal marketing agency, is looking for a Media Planner to shape and execute effective advertising campaigns. Your job will be to identify and reach target audiences, as well as evaluate campaign success. To succeed in this role, you should be a skilled communicator and decision-maker who can collaborate well with various teams. Knowledge of market research and a willingness to follow media trends is essential. Your goal will be to research, develop and plan new markets as well as optimizing current media marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and help achieve business goals. Both National, Regional and Local media planning and buying experience is required. Candidate must be forward thinking, proactive and can multi task in a fast-paced environment.

Primary duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collect and analyze market data
  • Identify target audiences and understand their behavior and habits
  • Research consumer behavior, statistics, audience trends, ratings and impressions
  • Analyze, develop and determine the best media outlet mix for our campaigns
  • Optimize ad campaigns according to geographic exposure, frequency, time spans and more
  • Allocate budgets and monitor costs
  • Follow media trends of online and offline outlets
  • Evaluate the success of media strategies and campaigns
  • Develop and execute media plans
  • Have working knowledge of research and analytics software and tools, pulling reports, etc.
  • Manage and plan campaigns
  • Based on Critical analysis, recommend strategies to increase brand recognition and maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Research and compile competitive data
  • Develop strategically solid media recommendations with supporting market research rational
  • Regularly communicate details about competitors, buys, stations and any research to help Buyers make good buying decisions
  • Understand what other departments do and how the Media department fits into the company as a whole
  • Assess media campaigns to ensure goals are being met
  • Review and recommend spend by station/network as needed and work closely with media buyers and directors to proactively manage spending

Requirements/Skills:

  • Proven experience and success as a Media Planner in developing campaigns and entering new markets (experience in digital media a plus)
  • Broad knowledge of media channels
  • Familiarity with campaign evaluation metrics and media buying
  • Experience in building campaigns with DR for clients or products
  • Working knowledge of analytics tools (e.g. GfK MRI, MOAT, Nielsen IMS)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • An analytical mind with an aptitude for statistics and math
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • BSc/BA in Marketing, Business Administration or similar field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience planning and buying TV, Radio and Out of Home Media Buys
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (i.e. pivot tables, advance functions)
  • Knowledge of Nielsen, Kantar and other research databases are a big plus
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data analysis
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and manage priorities/deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to new situations and changing priorities
  • Outstanding ability to think creatively, strategically and identify/resolve problems
