Walker Advertising, a leading and growing legal marketing agency, is seeking an experienced SEO Specialist. This role would join the Digital Marketing Department and be responsible for overseeing SEO efforts across different law types (i.e. Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Labor and Employment) and multiple locations to drive qualified leads and fulfill marketing objectives.

This position requires a comprehensive understanding of SEO in a very competitive category and demands robust knowledge of on-page and off-page ranking factors, content strategy management, and timely execution.

Primary duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform highly-detailed technical audit for our websites and devise plan for improving performance
  • Identify areas for improvement such as: site structure, linking and content strategy, and targeted keywords
  • Plan and execute SEO tactics including but not limited to: researching organic competitors, analyzing search trends, industry trends/insights, and web traffic reporting
  • Create and implement local SEO strategy
  • Manage backlink strategy and opportunities including partnerships, charities, and outreach
  • Implement on-page optimizations on websites (relevant HTML tags)
  • Identify new opportunities to drive revenue and profitability
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging SEO changes, tools and technologies
  • Implement changes that comply with Google’s best practices


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience doing SEO work for a competitive industry
  • 2+ years of experience producing SEO-optimized content that ranks high on organic search results
  • Experience in managing content contributors both in-house and outsourced
  • WordPress experience
  • Technical knowledge of website architecture (experience with HTML Markup, CSS, XML)
  • Experienced with keyword research, competitive analysis and SEO tools (Google Analytics and Search Console, SEM Rush, BrightEdge, AWR, etc.)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and manage priorities/deadlines
  • Outstanding ability to think creatively, strategically, and identify and resolve problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both with a team and independently
  • Strong organization, time management, and analytical skills
  • Legal marketing experience preferred, but not required
