Martech & Ad Platform Operations Specialist

Walker Advertising may not be a household name, but our consumer brands certainly are. General Overview of Tasks:

  • Collaborate with marketing specialists, strategists, account managers and creative and paid media team members, serving as the paid media team's creative and tracking implementation expert
  • Manage, implement, and handle end-to-end platform integrations
  • Work on a range of media campaigns, with a heavy focus in digital (display, paid social, online video, streaming media, OTT, etc.)
  • Own all aspects of media trafficking: hands on in scheduling and maintaining placements, rotations of ads and creative throughout the lifetime of campaigns
  • Perform daily QA and timeline troubleshooting of all placements, tagging and pixel placement for on-site tracking implementations to ensure proper connectivity and tracking
  • Collaborate with the analytics, contact center teams, and tech platforms (e.g., Invoca) to implement tracking (GTM, UTMs, impression and click trackers, etc.) so that campaigns are set up to report and optimize appropriately at launch
  • Educate and assist internal and external teams on proper implementation and best practices of third-party ad serving tags and systems
  • Proactively communicate with all internal teams (paid media, analytics creative, etc.) at the onset of a campaign to identify and implement all technical requirements
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and provide feedback on campaign delivery, measurement or tracking issues
  • Research and recommend new adtech/martech
  • Monitor data quality

Qualifications/Skills:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of relevant professional experience in digital advertising operations, campaign management, media trafficking and/or programmatic experience. (Lead Generation experience is a plus)
  • Experience with digital media (Display, Video, Social, Search, OTT, etc.), working knowledge of key distribution channels and their role in the overall media mix.
  • Proficiency with the following platforms: Ad Servers, DSPs (Eg: DV360, Trade Desk, etc) Data Onboarders, Google Analytics (Important), Google Tag Manager/GTM (Important), and Invoca (required)
  • Experience with the following platforms is a plus: Facebook/ Meta Advanced Analytics, Unbounce (or similar LP platforms), Email Marketing platforms, and Domo(or similar data visualization platforms: Tableau, PowerBI, etc)
  • Experience integrating 3rd party platforms (Google Ads, Google Analytics, etc) with Invoca
  • Knowledge of digital creative specifications and tagging such as VAST and VPAID is a plus
  • Desire to learn new tools, data infrastructure, and new ways of achieving success in a privacy-first digital marketing landscape
  • Strong critical thinking skills coupled with a bias towards action to anticipate and navigate the constantly changing marketing landscape.

Advanced Media Analytics Strategist

We are seeking an Advanced Media Analytics Strategist with 5+ years of experience to join our fully remote team. Our ideal candidate will play a key role in helping drive strategic initiatives across the organization by delivering business insights and perspectives based on analysis of media and operating data.


Job Description and Key Activities

  • This person will be responsible for building our advanced media analytics models (MMM, MTA), working closely with key stakeholders to ensure we are designing our solutions for evolving business needs and maximum impact
  • Cogently communicate and present insights from models that connects modeling results with business problems (marketing effectiveness and optimizations of spend, mix, stations, dayparts, programming, creatives, length, pod placement, flighting, etc.)
  • Work closely with channel experts to design media tests that ensure we are optimizing for learnings that lead to tangible results
  • Thought leader in driving advanced analytics roadmap
  • Educate and train stakeholders on the advanced modeling process, methodology and tools, ensuring partners are able to properly leverage insights to make decisions
  • Reports to VP, Accounting and Finance


About you:

  • Hands-on experience in marketing mix modeling (MMM), muti-touch attribution modeling (MTA), media test design and measurement, and other advanced media modeling techniques
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to continuously to learn the business, systems, and processes quickly, offering insightful recommendations
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills
  • High level of integrity and passion
  • Proven success in working in highly complex environments


Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing MMM / MTA to impact marketing channel strategy
  • Proficiency with programming languages such as Python R, SQL
  • Experience in applying advanced statistical and/or machine learning methodologies, including logistic regression, time-series models, Bayesian statistics
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field preferred but not required for a candidate with the right experience
